Digital downloads and Audio CDs

Hello

I am looking to download good quality recording of Hindusthani and Carnatic Vocal ... I find physical CD (Audio cd, not mp3) at very low price in Amazon.in but can not find the same in similar price range as digital download. Most of the digital download sites are abroad and their pricing in foreign currency makes them very costly. If amazon.in can offer audio cd recording in 100 to 200 rupees, cost of cd quality digital download should be lower or equal considering the do not have to ship a physical disc.

Can anyone refer to any website where I can download such music at decent price. I am referring to singers like Ustad Bade Gulam Ali Khan, or Gangubai Hangal.

Why can't you buy and rip to FLAC.
That is what I did for most of my recent collection. Again conversion goes for a battle here. But I didn't find any difference between original CD and converted FLAC or WMA.
