Distributors - Inspecting new box

I spoke with a Lakozy distributor in mumbai. Had ordered a PSB Image T6. He mentioned about having just imported the product and that they open & inspect it to check if all is fine and then repack. (And then I guess they ship to other dealers). Is this normal?

Yes, it is to ensure that the product is not Dead On Arrival.
