Hi guys,
A number of people here own this router with their BSNL connection.
It has a USB port at the back, and is able to share the usb drive on SMB.

However, I am looking for a DLNA server, so that my stupid little oppo can play music from remote device. It has a BS interface to play from a local HDD. DLNA server gives better functionality.

Also, I am looking at VPN so that I can access stuff that is restricted to US IPs.

Any help? Has anyone used dd-wrt or tomato? Or maybe some better fw from dlink?

Remember one word of caution before flashing using DD-WRT / Tomato, they have seletive versions which may or may not support NTFS over USB. So better proceed ccordingly.

thanks sud. I meant running the DLNA server ON the router hardware. I think your guide talks about making an old laptop etc the server.
This router is able to share on SMB, I hope it can also become a DLNA server, like the more expensive souters out there.

As far as i know DD-WRT is only for Wifi Routers not ADSL wifi routers. Not sure about other custom firmwared
