Do bookshelf speakers need a stand?

Have you tried looking at wall mount that you can fix to your wall that hold to the speakers.

I will be moving soon, so I don't want to drill holes the existing house. Generally I am averse to poking holes in walls of rented homes. But for the reason of aesthetics, I am considering it. However the decision will depend on whether I end up purchasing speakers with a rear firing port. May not be good to place close to wall ...

Hi, I am looking for some good speaker stands in Bangalore. I find one of the member square_wave has posted the contact of MR Murthy in Bangalore for stands.

Can someone share their experience with these stands?
Do we have other places in Bangalore where I can get decent stands?
Do you think Sound Foundation is a safe option? Do they give discounts for their products.
