do recording engineers use valve equipment for recording?

i have been researching valve equipment and full-range single-driver systems.

and i have been thinking -

DO RECORDING ENGINEERS USE VALVE BASED EQUIPMENT TO RECORD AND MIX THEIR CREATIONS?

if they do not, why would be using such equipment for reproduction?
