hai,
i am mannan.i had pioneer sub woofer 10"(1000w),pioneer oval speakers (400w)pioneer surround speaker.my question is can i buy a pioneer 5.1 amplifier and how much it will be?
next what is a av reciever,is it neccassary for home theatre system.

AV receiver is audio video Hub with inbuilt amp(5ch/7ch) and radio receiver.
It decodes audio codecs (DD/Dts)& then outputs to spk.
If you have DVDp with 5.1ch out,then without AVR,5.1ch amp can do the job.

Are your spk rated in RMS OR PMPO?
You can get pioneer AVR with matching wattage & connect to your spks.
