DVD player "Pauses" after end of track.

Hi,
I have an old Pioneer DVD player which was working fine.

Since yesterday it plays the first song properly and then after the song ends it goes into "Paused" mode and the display shows as "Paused".

If I click play again the next song starts.

Any idea what could be going wrong here or any way to fix it.
