DVD recorder

how do I connect a Toshiba DVD recorder to Dish Network receiver, and Denon AV Surround Receiver. Have everything connected and operating, but DVD Recorder will not record. Would appreciate any input.

Dish Network Receiver has its own encryption settings, which restricts users to record contents to an external device or recorder.
For recording programs, I think you need to buy Dish's DVR (Digital Video Recorder) that allows recording of the programs.
