The other day I watched this very enjoyable documentary on the Laurel Canyon (L.A.) music scene in the mid 60s, focusing on the Beach Boys, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield and The Mamas & The Papas.
I understand that Netflix will remove this documentary from their library (for India atleast) by the end of this month (around Dec 26 or so). Do watch it before they do so. The documentary itself contains some very nice covers by Jakob Dylan, Beck, Regina Spektor et.al. of some of the original hits of those bands. Definitely worth listening through your primary stereo system!
