ELAC Debut Series - B5

Need your opinion and review about ELAC Debut B5.

Also can 4 of the B5 speakers be used for 5.1 setup for front and surrounds?

Suggest me a good Atmos amplifier that matches with Elac B5 speakers.

Denon, Yamaha & Marantz should match. Try an audition.

ELACs should blend well with Marantz 5011/6011 and Denon AVR-X2300/3300W.

Can the B5 work as front and rear surround speakers? Please advice

Sure B5 could work just fine with the fronts as well as surrounds though it is better to not use it as the back surround channels and instead go for bipole design speakers for a much diffused sound which would further add ambience to the surround channels.

Dear sriram , instead of all B5 , go for B6 as front and B5 as Surround. B6 will sound more fuller than B5. You may enjoy music more on B6 than B5. Another request just check Monitor Audio Branze 2/1/center. Worth to audition once before purchase.

I am using Elac B5 pair 2.0 with Denon X2300w, I liked the sound, using mostly for Music and tried some movies, on my 2.0 setup I get good sound stage for movies and music.
I read lot about difference between B5 and B6 but didn't audition B6 yet.

I think if you setup Elac speakers then you might not require subwoofer, again depend on preference but I would suggest to start with front speakers 2.0 instead of all full 5.1 setup.

I am very much comfortable with B5 and planning to use them as surround speakers and will audition B6 for front speakers.

I already own 2.0 setup. I am going for a new setup purely for movie experience. Step by step I will add more speakers to fulfill 5.1.2 setup.

Today I went for audition in Profx for YAMAHA RX v581 receiver and Polk RTi series;

They played an action movie "Training Day". The setup consisted of
Polk RTi A7 for front, A3 for rear surrounds, CSi10 for center and sub woofer DSW550i. Amazing experience.

Albeit Elac will be my choice though.hyeah:
