Interestingly, It beats Pioneer BDD-09FD (around $1500 new) and Oppo 93 , 499$ for music Output.

My issue is that the amount of reviews I have seen for the XDA is far less than what I would have expected from a product that is this capable. Just compare it to the buzz in the market for other Emotiva products, and you will understand what I am saying. Frankly, if the XDA is as good as Emotiva is saying, I would have expected the reviewers to scream from the roof top. That has not happened and I am now a little hesitant to buy the product.

This means that I have to put together the money to get a DAC1 from Benchmark as originally planned. Sigh!

How does that make any difference? Emotiva's USP has always been a 'industry beater' so to say. They have achieved that with their amps and CD Players, so why not with the XDA?

Hey Venkat, have you looked into the Matrix Mini-i?

Some of the volume issues of the Emotiva XDA1 have been resolved now. However they have bumped up the price to $350!
