Hi, I got the Epson TW8100 with one Epson 3D glass.

I have 4 3D glasses which I got at iMax theater in Dubai and 3 Panasonic Active 3D glass too.

But none of the 3D glasses work, except the Epson one.
What am I missing ?

Is it not like this - only Epson glasses will work with Epson prj and NOT every other glass?

Singhal from this forum said, he has been using Samsung glasses with TW8100 and said, the Panasonic ones will work great too.

Your Imax 3D glasses are passive. The projector in Imax shoots 2 different images

The Epson 3D glasses is active. Your Projector only shoots a single image

Sony 3D glasses will work with Epson AFAIK. I got Sony 3D glasses for my Epson TW8000 from Amazon. I can't comment on it yet as I have not opened my PJ yet as my dedicated room is still not ready.

I got Sony 3D glasses after going through the reviews in Amazon.

wow..solid hai.many many thanks for sharing.
tu aab tv bech dega i am sure...

anyway..about the glasses..manufactureres do it intentionally..the pj/tv board may not identify and hence wont sync with other make..
imho forget that..and enjoy your system

Imax ones certainly wont work but the panasonics should definitely have worked. Whats the error you're getting? Were you atleast able to sync them with the projector? If not, then try again with the tv is switched off completely. Maybe the panasonic glasses are syncing with the tv instead of the projector?

No errors. Just there is no 3D viewing.

People have reported these glasses working with the epson PJ so not really sure why they aren't working here. What happens when you sync them with the PJ? D you get the message on screen about "3d glasses connected" or something like that? All I need to do with my samsung glasses is turn them on and they get recognised by the epson in a couple of seconds.

Soamz,

Epson 8100 uses RF tech for glasses. Panasonic glasses could be ir.

Ps3 glasses will work with 8000, not 8100.
