So I have two AVRs both Harman kardon AVR s of the same era. Similar vintage.
AVR 3550 (not "HD") 2002
And
AVR 240 from 2005
Both have 65 watts output in stereo.
HOWEVER,
The specs vary slightly (for stereo):

The 3550 Harman kardon is

Frequency response: 10Hz to 100kHz
Signal to noise ratio: 95dB (line)

While the Harman kardon AVR 240 is :
Frequency response: 10Hz to 130kHz
Signal to noise ratio: 100dB (line)

Which one should SOUND BETTER?
What will the difference be in the sound signature?
Can anyone here predict by looking at the specs?
Thank you

Like has been rightly mentioned countless times in this forum, "better" is ALWAYS subjective and depends on personal taste. Higher SNR implies that the signal is relatively uncorrupted/masked by background "noise" and theoretically should sound more detailed. While some like that detail making it easier to discern nuances carried by the signal others don't prefer that level of detail terming those details over etched sound and they prefer a slight masking which among others contributes to what people call "warm" sound.
