Two AVR amplifiers; one with pre-outs and the other, without

I have two Harman Kardon AVR s one is a AVR 3550 from 2002 with a 5.1 system and one is a AVR 240 with 7.1 and pre outs. Both are 65 watts RMS.

Can I use the AVR 240 pre outs and do something interesting to get better sound quality from my speakers?
I'm using a pair of Floorstanders which have a reputation for soaking up power.

You dont get any benifit if you take one avr pre out to another avr. If your avr has 7.1, you may try bimp.

Here you need to check your speakers support biamp, and your avr have out put of Front L&R and Front Height L&R output.

You need to remove the jumper from speakers terminal. Front L and Front height L goes to speakers side one cable for high frequency and another cable for low frequency.


Be careful with connection. Just google how to biamp, they can explain clearly
