Exchange Items on Forum - Feature Request

Hello Friends l,

We are music lovers and entrapped in wonderful musical experience which helps eliminate the vices of expensive watches, cars, gf, alcohol etc.

Since music lovers are in a habit of changing their gear, If any like minded music lovers. experiences my beat, then this is an excellent thread to reciprocate irrespective of what the world feels for you. Music Always Wins!

I love the idea. This is something I have been doing with my friends for years. Exchange things to try out, sometimes even exchange to keep.

However it is generally very difficult to find items of equal/similar value to exchange and asking for something exactly that you need rarely works.

But yeah - it will be great if people can post what they want and what they have and something may click.

This is a great idea. Esp, if one is open minded about exchanges. What we may be willing to trade for may not be available a that precise time.

One concern is that this could be a back door way to circumvent the classified section. A person could post an exchange here and be persuaded to do the trade for money on DMs. Anyway it’s for the forum owner and mods to figure out.

If there is sufficient interest in an Exchange forum we will have to discuss and see if we can add an Exchange subforum in the Classifieds section. Until then request FMs to avoid posting items for exchange on this thread. Please use this thread to share your feedback and we will be happy to take all views into consideration.

The issue that we face is the obvious use of the exchange route to bypass the Classifieds section. The other concern being when exchanges go wrong and we are then obliged to intervene. The Classifieds has a filter built in where FMs with a certain amount of activity on the forum are allowed to participate - this has reduced spurious activities to a large extent. Not saying this is a perfect system but this what we have in place to protect the community from suspicious operators.
