Having observed a 'hum' in my system (a bit complicated integrated stereo and HT), I recently posted about it in another audio forum and was surprised to receive a personal mail from Mr. Charles Hansen of Ayre for more details (I have their C-5xe source and V-5xe power amp). He has been so interested and helpful to sort out this issue, at the same time acknowledging the practical difficulties associated with sending equipment abroad for checking. There is nothing conclusive to prove that the hum results from Ayre components and I have several others sitting in the system (ARC, Rotel, Pioneer, and the ubiquitous cable-TV) but Mr. Hansen's responses and genuine interest to solve this are rather unique.
Ayre components are not cheap but have a solid reputation no doubt built on such customer care. It is a pity that no dealers sell them in India.
Just a feedback on such good services in the industry.
