Hi,

Using the raspberry pi and generous help from various articles I have managed to build and experiment with Wireless HDMI. The idea was to build a video bridge between my PC and the projector while retaining the audio with my PC. The result is that the pc now transmits 1080p movies and games to the projector at the far end of the room without any HDMI cables in between using just wifi. Sound is outputted by pc through optical to my home theater system - the Phillips Fidelio b5.

There no noticeable lag or drop as of now. The same could have been achieved by using a Chromecast but Chromecast doesn't allow you to split video and audio streams.

The prerequisites are as follows:
1. PC as the source for movies or games
2. Graphics card should be nvidia
3. PC should have nvidia geforce experience installed
4. Decent wifi at home
5. Raspberry pi 2 or higher

The raspberry pi sits with the projector at the rear end of the room.

There are a few preliminary images I am attaching for your reference.

In case anyone is interested I will expand on the method in my next post.

Cheers

Oh this is cool. Could you provide details on how you set it up, software required, steps to follow, etc?
