Hi,

I have connected My TS HD with HT, while i am using Co-axial Output for audio.

When ever i change channel ,i hear tuck sound from speakers. Any idea guys..

it does n't happen if i am dvd plyer/HD media player.

Thanks is advance.

hi,
well it is hard to tell, but if you tell in a detailed way maybe then we can help.

for example what is the strike rate for the so called tuck sound, is it there whenever you change channels or during transition from HD to SD or SD to HD?

are you absolutely sure the sound comes from speakers and not the HT receiver itself?

you mentioned you use co-axial from STB to HT receiver, how is you TV connected to STB?
plus whatever else you can mention.

my connection is via optical audio cable.

I hear sound from A/V receiver when I change from stereo (SD) to Dolby (HD 5.1) and vice versa.

I think it is normal, possibly other Onkyo+TataSky+ HD users can confirm the same

yes when there is a change from SD to HD there isa click sound from reciever(like a relay making contact), i gues this due to the mode changing to dolby

I hear spikes (this "tuck" or clicking sound) while changing channels when through Optical. Never noticed this issue through coax. Though TS broadcasts is plagued with random audio drops for few seconds to these random spikes even when continuously playing ANY channel..

Yesterday I connected using Coax (instead of optical), the click sound is audible when I change channel from HD to SD (Dolby to Stereo) and vice versa.

Do we have optical output in TS HD ? I don't think so .
& i will check about tuck sound again for HD to SD or SD to HD

My connection is Simple.

TS HD > AVR > TV (HDMI for video)
TS HD > AVR ( Coaxial for audia)

thanks

Tata Sky+ HD box has got both optical and coaxial.

I think the sound is coming from A/V receiver because it is changing the mode of listening.

If the input is DD 5.1 my listening mode is Audyssey DSX, if the input is stereo my listening mode is All Channel Stereo. Hence the receiver is changing the listening mode and we hear sound in this process.

Is there any way to avoid this sound? through firmware update or something?

Yes its definitely your receiver as it never happens in my AVR which mutes audio for about 2 seconds while switching mode internally..

I got Tata Sky HD and get this Tuk sound every time i switch channel from DD to normal or normal to DD, this sound comes from Amp and AFAIK tata sky has nothing to do with it

Hello all. I am facing a similar issue with my Tata sky HD STB/Onkyo 3300. While using the coaxial cable for digital audio, I can hear a 'tuck' sound everything I change channels [HD -> SD and SD -> SD]. Not only this, 'tuck' sounds pays me a visit every time an electric switch is used in the house [tube/fan/etc].. The sound comes from the speakers rather than the amp.
Can the problem be with the STB, Onkyo or the electric wiring of the house?

I was oblivious to this problem till march when 5.1 audio pass-through was working all fine on TS-HD :(

This is off topic, however such sound has started coming from my subwoofer which might be an issue of the sub-woofer only or the power supply.

So it seems I'm not alone in my misery. Sub-woofer or amp, the issue that bothers me the most is electric disturbance; Switching off or on the tubelight in the next room should not effect my viewing experience.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
