Fiio E17 Alpen vs E17K Alpen 2

Hi,

Please help me in deciding between Fiio E17 Alpen vs E17K Alpen 2, price is same for both, Alpen 1 was released in 2011 and Alpen 2 has been released recently in dec 2014, Alpen 1 has optical input also along with coaxial and usb but optical input is missing on Alpen2.

If there is no much sound quality difference then I would prefer to go with Alpen 1, I couldn't find dac chip details for Alpen 1 so that i could compare it with Alpen 2.

If anyone has any idea, please help me in deciding which one is a better buy.
