Absolutely. Actually one of most recommened but least practical system for 5.1 is to have 5 floor standers and a sub. in fact I have worked with many system that have 3 fS for L/C///R

does it sounds great than normal bookshelfs speaker or bipole and dipole surrounds

if i do use fs for surrounds should i place them on floor or above ears height coz we usually place surrounds like 2 to 3 feet above ear height am i right

cant comment on this since it depends on the music, quality of speakers, etc.

Its a bit of a tradeoff but even then the resulting sound is very very good as they are at the ear level.
