FOCAL xs book test..
got this focal XS book .. bought it for around 17k in U.S. tested and happy with its bassy sound.. for midrange , this speaker is far better than so many speakers in this range.. treble is bit thin but make up with volume up.. bass is good but not deep as JBL onbeat xtreme.. but bass is enough for close up listening..
i compared it with aktimate mini , personely i liked the focal for its midrange and clean sound(slow sound leads lots of details behind the songs).. but aktimate mini is bigger and sounds louder than focal.. mini is like passive seperate speaker type. but i dislike its midrange and treble quality when compared with some speakers..and also mini needs some space for better quality.. for close up listening like desktop PC speakers, dont go for mini.
for focal xs book , its size and looking is superb , but sometimes its narrow size will create risk of accidently fell down.. otherwise for a desktop speakers it is far better than audio engine A2 ..focal is very good speakers but never exciting or interesting for that money. but more pleasent to listen for long period nearby speakers..but for treble lovers , this focal will dissapoint you..but personely i liked the treble..
but for its asking original price of around 29k , it will not worth that money..
my personel recommendations , for a budget people i strongly recommend logitech s715 for its sonic quality,
for who needs big and bassy sounds but dont need for desktop i strongly recommend JBL onbeat xtreme.
for who needs mid range and for desktop , i recommend focal xs book for price below 20k..
in my opinion , aktimate mini , audio engine a2 is not so good than those speakers..
