Foobar2000 issue

I have been using Foobar2000 for PC music playback. This a dedicated PC not used for anything else.
The other day, when I started my music PC, I found the Foobar screen absolutely blank . No setup, no playlists, no music.
No issues with the music in the PC. It's all there.

I have managed to get Foobar up and running in the attached format which I like but the filters of genre/artist/album are not getting populated.

Please help in getting the filters working and also how to take a backup in case the same happens again.

i think the UI configuration might have been corrupted. in fact there are "skins" preconfigured UI configuration setting files for foobar you can download - might be easier to get one of those

Found the solution after some more searching.
I needed to add folders from media library -> music folders.
I had been doing it from the top toolbar.
