I was just browsing through the features of Yamaha RX-V667 and noticed that specs of Yamaha RX-V667 are different between countries. (This may be the case in other brands and models too)

Just look at the image of Yamaha RX-V667 from US and Europe

Note : Phono Input is available in the above pic

Another major difference in spec is Audio output is 90W/Channel in US, where it is 140W/Channel in Europe/Singapore/Asia.

Sadly specs for the AVR in Yamaha Music India looks similar to that of US. On the first look RX-V667 from Europe/Australia/Singapore seems better. Existing owners and senior members can add more information.

Thanks for this nice observation , I think this calls for a direct store verification. The output power factor seems I have always overlooked.

There is not much differences other than voltage.90w & 140w is subjective(say 8ohm vs 6)Spk connectors looks different, but input & output are same.
If you see Denon 2310 US & asia,US model dont have preout which is major difference.

Europe/Singapore additionally has phono(MM) input and s-video input which is not there in US model.

US models are cheap & many one change the models next year.So they dont require added features.UK people are concerned with music & so the phono input. They maintain there audio stuff well.

The US model has s-video. on far left below the dock connector. And it looks like they replaced Phono in EU models with Sirius Sat Radio support in US model.

Page 110 of the User manual has these listed out.

Since you all are eager to know the difference between these models, I have unpacked my AVR and took a pik for you...

It has Phono, but no Sirius or S Video, similar to the Austrian model.
Secondly it is made in Malaysia, does that mean anything??/

I tried a lot to find this Pik online with the voltage selector, but could not find any, does that make it unique:yahoo:

Hope this helps......

Yep, I stumbled on this site too, but not sure if it is genuine as this model or design is not available in any Yamaha manual.. and that too it is a US site which is most unlikely to have 110/220V out there..
Has anyone purchased from this site before???
