All,

I am looking for Floor Stander speakers within 35K budget.

I already have Yamaha NS8900 and MS Aviano 2. I bought Aviano 2 coz i was expecting that they'll sound better than yamaha but both are sounding equally good. It was an impulsive purchase. Now i need a new pair which are better than these two. I'll be pairing it with CA Azur 650A Amp for music and also use it with Yamaha V367 for movies.

Speakers should be good for music coz thats my preference. Basically looking for good mids and bass.

Will Aviano 6 would be gud buy or shud i look for another set of speakers.

I am moving to Pune so please keep that in mind and also if you can tell me the places where i can audition speakers in Pune.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Vikram

Thanks Kittu.. but i think i wont go for Polks.. i never liked their sound..

Cambridge Audio 650 and Aviano s are meant for each other... I am using Aviano 6.. Still in the burn-in period.. They sound awesome.. Go for it..
If u like the sound signature of Aviano 2.. I suggest u to go for Aviano 6... U can even add an AVR later to make a complete 5.1 Aviano package with the existing aviano 2s

M gonna sell Yamaha and Aviano 2.. infact yamaha is already on sale.. i just want to keep one speaker.. I actually bought Aviano 2 bcoz i've heard this that they are meant for each other.. But some how they are not sounding better than yamaha.. Mids are good though but still...

So my first step is to audition Aviano 6 with my Amp.. Any other suggestion within the same price range.. ?

I am surprised that NSP series sounded similar to Aviano 2. Did you the Avianos with your AZUR?

Hi,

I read in the Yamaha AVR manual, that Front speakers will reproduce
High quality Sound if we do Bi-Amp connections.

Does NS-8900 support Bi-amp connection?
Regards,

It may be bcoz of the source m using.. i play flacs using Xonar STX thru my PC.. in low volume bass is less in Aviano 2 whereas it sound decent in NS (its not NSP series.. Its NS) ..

So m looking for a pair of speakers which sound better than Aviano 2..

N i did not say that Aviano 2 is not gud.. they are definitely gud for the size n price.. but i guess i need something better than that..

Yeps it does.. it has 2 connections for speakers.. u can use them for bi-amping.. right now they both are connected.. i guess lower connection is for the lower bass driver and upper connection is for tweeter and the other bass driver..

but i dont wanna go into bi-amping thing bcoz of mix reviews about it.. i wanna make connections as simple as i can..

Not yet, looking forward to audition the V7s. :) May be next week.

Kittu, please do post ur reviews about these speakers.. now i dont wanna rush into things.. i wanna buy speakers for just last time now.. wont spend money on these things after this last purchase.. so will audition as much speakers as i can, suggested by forum members...

May be the Aviano s hav not passed the burn-in period.. which is abt 100 hours of regular play or 36 hrs of (one out of phase) constant play.. Things might get better after burn in.. Even my Aviano 6 has shown improvements after abt 20-25 hrs of use..

I suggest you audition paradigm monitor 7 and for the budget i think q acoustic 2050 would be a good choice, i quite liked their sound.

i have already used them for about 40 hours.. played them for whole 2 nites.. :D.. wanted them to burn as soon as possible.. lets see how they sound after 100 hours..

Thanks Brajendu.. I'll be putting up in Bavdhan.. is there any shop near to this place..?

I don't think So, all the shops are inside the city. Hey Sagar will you be looking to sell your old speakers? (I'm thinking of buying a used pair to include in my future HT setup). If you are willing we can send private message.
