Hi,

I want to build a new PC which will be used for 2 main tasks

1) Gaming (Max Payne 3,GTA San Andreas,GTA V,S, Call Of Duty, Far cry, Battlefield and NFS)

2) Connect to Home theater to watch movies. Home theater config ( Denon X1000 | Paradigm CT 100 | Panasonic PT AR100U | Vuemax 108" ) will need HDMI port in PC to connect to the Amplifier.

Need suggestion to build the PC so both the tasks can be done.
Or should I buy a gaming PC and a media player?

Budget around 30K max 35K.

Also for the above mentioned requirement should I go for i3 or i5 ?

this is a RIG options which I found online kindly tell me which will be best for my requirement.

Processor Intel i3 4150 7,500
Motherboard GIGABYTE GA-H81M-S 13,500
Memory Corsair Vengeance 4GB 1600MHz 2,500
Graphics Card Zotac GTX 750Ti 2GB 10,500
Power Supply Antec VP450P 2,500
Cabinet Cooler Master Elite 311 2,300
Internal Storage WD Caviar Blue 1TB HDD 3,500
Optical Drive Asus DRW-24D3ST DVD/RW 1,100

Total 31,100

thanks

Hi, I recently put together a similar gaming rig for my brother.

AMD FX4300
G-Skill 8GB 1600MHz
Asus M78A5-USB3
MSI GeForce 750 Ti 2 GB
1 TB 7200 HDD
Cooler Master Thunder 500W
Deepcool Kendomen

Don't remember independent prices. But the total was around 33K. The AMD was suggested over i3.

In my opinion the media center should be different.

I think you should keep both things separate. Build a PC a mid gaming machine and get a media player. (But you can use PC as well for the same) Also r u sure thats the correct price for motherboard. GIGABYTE GA-H81M-S is for around 3500. I think you added that "1" extra ....Gaming PC needs two any only two things, GPU and RAM, and even a 2nd generation i3 will do wonders. For Mobo just for 5-600 bucks more I will suggest Gigabyte GA-H81M-GAMING 3.
Your GPU looks decent, will play all current gen games full HD with mid to high settings.
RAM get min 8GB, I will suggest G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 8 GB for around 3000. Power supply, instead of Antec I will suggest Corsair VS450 for same 2500. Cabinet and optical drive looks good, infact optical drive I would have suggested same ASUS.

If you want to use this PC as media PC as well, then install the windows version of Kodi, connect the PC with HDMI to your HT and done with it. You can launch kodi when ever you wanna watch movies, and when gaming simply close it and launch the game :)

What is the purpose of KODI?

I'll watch all downloaded movies using Media Player in PC or TV using usb.

KODI is a front end media center, that can not only play your media files but also organize and create library with nice looking metadata. Search youtube for loads n loads of videos on Kodi ....

Just to be sure, the final specs you are recommending are

Processor Intel i3 4150 7,500
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-H81M-GAMING 3 4,000
Memory G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 8 GB 3,000
Graphics Card Zotac GTX 750Ti 2GB 10,500
Power Supply Corsair VS450 2,500
Cabinet Cooler Master Elite 311 2,300
Internal Storage WD Caviar Blue 1TB HDD 3,500
Optical Drive Asus DRW-24D3ST DVD/RW 1,100

A Total of 35k. If I have to limit to 30k, what would be the option. Its for gaming and general surfing.

Also, where do you get these prices, Nehru Place?? Online everything is atleast 500 bucks more per component.

I would omit Optical Drive altogether. Everything can be done via pen drives and all drivers and apps are available online to download so no use of the optical disc unless of course you also have lots of Music CDs that you would want to play on your PC. Next, I might go for i3 second gen or 3rd gen to reduce the price, but you would not be able to reduce more than 2000-2500 max, which ain't worth.

I have my sources for price, NP might be even cheaper ... so you might get everything <30K
