"Google today celebrated the 102nd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna awardee and Shehnai maestro Ustad Bismillah Khan. To mark the occasion of maestro's 102nd birth anniversary, Google dedicated its fun doodle to him where Khan can be seen playing his shehnai while casually lounging in his trademark posture.

The doodle has been illustrated by a Chennai-based illustrator, Vijay Krish, according to the Google."

Google has been regularly honouring Indian music and film personalities. I had been toying with the idea of starting a thread on that but never did.
Let's keep posting such Google Doodles here and rename the thread suitably.

Farooque Shaikh - Remembered on his 70th Birth Anniversary

"Today's Doodle by Nimit Malavia is a tribute to Farouque Shaikh's cinematic career in a style evocative of hand-painted movie posters of the 1970s, and especially Umrao Jaan. We see the wide-eyed romantic hero of the 1970's mature into a comfortingly familiar TV presence of the 1990's, bridging the gap between mainstream and arthouse cinema in India along the way."

K L Saigal Google Doodle: Born on April 11, 1904 in Jammu, K L Saigal was considered the first superstar of the Hindi film industry. He sang 200 film and non-film songs that continue to enthrall generations of music lovers even today
The celebrated artist, who died at an early age of 42 in the year 1947, later on became an inspiration for his illustrious predecessors including Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Mohammad Rafi, and Mukesh.

Today’s doodle, designed by Vidhya Nagarajan, shows KL Saigal singing with the background of Kolkata, where the Hindi film industry or Bollywood was based initially.
