Got my Wharfedale 9.2 diamond's.. First impressions

Well no offense to the Jamos ..... They are quiet loud and my ears were not feeling the crisp bass / trebels ... / may be onkyo was not a great pair of combo with Jamos some thing I felt very boomy and loud so I changed them and wanted a lil lower segment for my small living room so I moved to 9.5s and they were perfect for the room size . Please visit when you come to bangalore
like i said,whatever suits ur requirement is the best for you

Just curious to know if you have heard both the Jamo & Wharfedale and you found the Jamo better?
honestly,am a mission guy 
.its just that,given most peoples opinions and views,the concert series from jamo(405 esp) has always been favoured as one of the best budget floorstanders available under 30k in india.not to say that the wharfs or any other are bad in any way at all,was just pointing out that this just shows how personal tastes in speaker tonality can get.what i like most likely will never float ur boat,u get what i mean???even more reason to audition speakers prior to purchase .
BTW,that emotiva u have :licklips:,been lusting after that for a while now.am sure ur enjoying it!!very well written review i must say.cheers

Here is my complete setup ...... All connected to a 2KVA servo stabilizer...
Nice setup Kittu! I notice that the speakers are placed too close to the walls. The Diamond 9.x and 10.x are rear ported and its best to place them at least a feet away from the walls to avoid the bass being boomy. Try placing it away from the rear wall and let me know if you like the bass then.
Also, the speakers are not toed in. Can you please do a test for me? Try playing some of your favorite songs (songs that you are very familiar with) with the speakers in their current position. Then toe in the speakers in a 20 30 degree angle towards the listening position and then play those same tracks . And please tell me if you hear any difference after toeing in and if you like it or not. I will tell you the reason for asking you to do this test after you do the testing (if you agree to do the testing that is)

The speakers are placed exactly 1 feet and an inch away from the wall .. It was my photography skills which made pics look like that
I am going to test this immediately and see if I can notice any difference.

I am just repeatedly testing to realize or notice the differences. One thing I noticed is the vibration of my walls specially the main door got reduced ..
Will post the observations after few hours right now watching a movie with friends

The vibration reduced because when you toe in, there is more space between the bass port and the wall.
What is the distance between both the front speakers?
6 feet exactly.

That's about 2 meters. If you don't mind and if your speaker cables are long enough, can you keep them 10 feet apart and toed in when you do the testing? Reason is Wharfedale recommends the 9.5 / 9.6 to be spaced at least 3 meters apart.
I dont have that kind of space on the right side speaker there is a shelf after a feet distance to it.

Did you run Audyssey calibration and was +6 dB set by Audyssey?
I did not run Audyssey . It was set to +8db before and I reduced to +6db just to see any changes. Distance I changed from meters to feet to be exact.
Kittu, +6 dB is high. Please run Audyssey and see what setup it comes up with. For Diamond 9.5s I would expect it to set it as the following:
Speaker size / type: Large
Speaker impedance: 6 ohms (same as the speaker spec)
Speaker level: 0 to +2 dB - this is strictly my guess
And you need to ensure that the Audyssey microphone is mounted on a tripod and is set exactly at ear level in your listening position. This means that the Audyssey mic has to be mounted in the tripod exactly where your ears will be when you are seated.
Let me know the results of your audyssey calibration.
