Its not just GNR denom, we have the mighty Testament, Periphery, Simple Plan, Slash also playing in India in the coming months, and underground bands like Cerebral bore with 5 more international acts will be playing for the Indian Metal festival!! Its raining bands here..

Just one more dysfunctional has-been. They are playing Vegas 12 days between Oct 31st. to Nov 24th. And I'm sure y'all know who performs in Vegas. Yes, the desperate, the dysfunctional and the has-been's out to milk a little bit more :-) :-)

Hi denom

I am not a GNR fan but my son is planning to go with his hostel friends.

does this mean Slash and Axle Rose have patched up?

NOPE!!! That ain't gonna happen EVER! 2 Big Ego's don't mix anymore

Yea, true but I guess we deserve it thanks to our government's stupid policies of wanting to meddle with anything & everything resulting in them killing the Live music scene in our country

I look forward to this happening in gurgaon

Enjoy doing so again

No no, slash is on a separate tour, guess he'll have Miles Kennedy on the vocals..

Yea, hopefully his gig will be better  BTW, keep us posted on the same & that of the other acts you've mentioned, thanks :)

Whatever thoughts I had entertained of going vanished after I saw this performance :(

Now you got me thinking too :p What a farce, shame on Axl
Imagine him trying a similar stunt in gurgaon, we might see corelement doing 'things' like during the 'tallica episode :p

Hi denom

I am not a GNR fan but my son is planning to go with his hostel friends.

:ohyeah:

Good to know your son is a GNR fan :)

Still on the fence w r t going or not, may decide to go last minute, Hemant is pretty much gungho about going.

Honestly i was quite surprised when he told me he was going. Said he likes GNR stuff. I guess tastes change when you go to a hostel.

GnR live shows I saw on video (as a teenager) were definitely electric and Axle Rose's stage antics were legendary (as was Slash's).

But the current line-up is a pale shadow of their former glory.

I guess I'll console myself with their LP of Appetite for Destruction:)

I guess tastes change - right now I'd rather be seated somewhere around the third or fourth row of an opera starring the beautiful Anna Netrebko.

i had been to Slayer @ bangalore...was awesome.

would love to see testament, i guess it goes without saying that it'll be in bangalore too..

GNR. not interested atall...

Quite surprising though, even with (safe bet) so many children of the 80s on the forum, that GNR is getting such a cold response..

I guess most lost interest after Slash was slashed from their line-up. And denom, you are right - nothing like a litlte ego clash to turn the once Glam heroes into erstwhiles!

I love the music they made, no two ways about that. At least until they went their own separate ways, Axl and Slash were quite the pair. Alas.

Too bad I'm traveling otherwise would have definitely made the Bengaluru show.

Was big on them and Metallica back in the 90s. Now I don't even listen too much to hard rock or metal. Still would have gone for nostalgia and fond memories of those days.
