You went out with the babalog and the little mem?
I remember Zakir Hussain and Shakti (John McLaughlin et al.) back in 1982 at XL auditorium. Even the lousy PA system wasn't able to obstruct the magic that evening. I wish the original line up could regroup one day.

A young nephew went after dinner to the Chancery Pavilion opp the venue for dinner with some of his pals post the concert, and lo and behold who was at the next table-Zakir, Bela and Edgar, who were staying there. They went across and introduced themselves to the maestros and to their very pleasant surprise, Zakir after finishing his dinner went over to their table and spent about 15 minutes chatting with them..
