i have HK AVR 132, which i have connected via optical cable to my Airtel HD. When ever i change channel the AVR produces loud thud sounds and then shuts off. I have to then put on standby and restart the system to be normal.

When i opened the AVR i found a damaged capacitor that was bypassed with a resistor. May be my bro would have taken it for repair earlier.

Need advice on what would could be the problem. And any expert to HK in chennai who can check out and provide any help.

Also my remote is also damaged need a substitute remote for this. Any suggestions.

The AVR needs to be looked into by a proper tech....

If the repairs are too much, you can easily get similar AVRs or other brands over OLX etc which may make better sense....

Remotes is the biggest challenge and usually one can source them from ebay etc....

Logitech Harmony remote can be configured and used for almost anything...
