HDMI 1.4 Cable

Guys I recently purchased an MX HDMI 1.4 cable.

My PC and monitor both have HDMI 1.3 with HDCP

I tried connecting my PC to the monitor with the HDMI 1.4 cable, but the monitor says no connection detected.

When I connect my PC to the monitor through DVI I get the display.

Am I using a wrong cable or what? Kindly respond.

Cable may be faulty as 1.4 should go with 1.3.

thanks spiro u are right, the cable does work. i just had to change the input setting on my monitor from dvi to hdmi

Is MX a flexible cable? I bought 2 HDMI cable from local store and it was hard like a stick and i fear it damage my HDMI port.

It is unlikely to damage your port. If anything, the cable itself might get damaged earlier if it is not too pliable.
