Although my AV reciever has multiple HDMI inputs there is only one HDMI out. I have to connect the reciever to a LCD and a projector. I guess I will require a HDMI splitter. OIne input and 2 out. Do I need a powered splitter or a passive one will do.
I plan to use only one device at a time

^^ It should have 3 output and one Input instead of 3 inputs and one out put, doesnt make sense, or am I somewhere wrong ....

Thanks Netfreak. I would prefer a passive one as I ntend to use only one output at a time.
Will it detect automatically and route the signal to the correct device

l am getting the yamaha 671 which has only one out, but i want to run both the lcd and mits hc4000 through it. (one at a time )
does the same logic of hdmi cables apply to these splitter's i.e. it doesn't matter how costly they are. will there be absolutely no degradation in the video quality, than if i was using just the single out of the reciever.
do they support 3d and all audio signals including dts ma & true hd or does the audio part not even matter as the reciever takes care of it.

sorry if these question's seem noobish.
