Headless MacMini vs Lumin U2: I'm never going back

Competitive would be the Bluesound. Cheaper and very close in performance

U2 mini is generally discounted in India. I picked mine up used for a good price. The new purchase invoice showed it was originally bought for 1.5. Have heard 1.65 from others. It’s still much more than an Eversolo though
I have also been on the lookout for a uses U2 Mini for about a month but unfortunately not been very successful. The hunt is still on.. also heard of ppl getting a used one for as low as 1.2L nowadays.. I have one already so can safely say iv tasted the pudding and it's delish!!

Since I'm unable to find one used and keep seeing posts of used Eversolo A6 ME Gen2 at around 80K, I'm super tempted to get one..

Thanks to all the knowledgeable folks here and this post, the temptation to get an Eversolo is aptly shot down. Though the new eversolo T8 will be available soon around 1.3 lacs, seems like even that will be a compromise compared to a Lumin..U2 (non mini) would just be overkill for my stereo setup (almost the same cost as the new U2)..

So the hunt continues..

You can check out bluesound node latest gen. Not only it has good sound quality and costs less than Lumin, it also has Dirac live compatibility which improves the sound by leaps.

I recently got to try out the Bluesound Node Icon. Its a pretty solid option as a transport (tried both USB and SPDIF). Used stock with wifi, it gets close to the Lumin U2 Mini with an LPS and lot of network tweaks. My guess would be that excluding the LPS and network tweaks for the Lumin, they would be neck and neck (this is not something I've tried though). More interesting was the performance compared to an older Node 2i with an lps. Compared to that, the Icon was a notable step up. That was a surprise!
