Anyone using one , reviews and is this a true reference DAC?

It was a great dac once upon a time. But the tech is moving real fast. Unless you are looking for a particular presentation or sound signature that a particular dac has, otherwise its best to buy something within the last 2 to 3 years in my opinion.

I am using it still. It's a very good streaming DAC. I bought it as a demo piece and haven't had any issue for the last 8 years. Outstanding technology and sound quality.
