Raghu Prasad here. Just joined in. Came across this site during various searches. Pretty informative about the AV/stereo equipment scene in India.
Music interests
English - Rock, Pop, Blues, some Classical, some Metal
Local - Hindi and Kannada (50's - 70's), contemporary music, indie music
Movie interests
almost anything that promises entertainment; language no bar
Current Equipment
* Panasonic Viera 42" Plasma
* Marantz NR1605 AVR (sources used - TataSky STB, USB for digital music playback, BT for phone streaming, Internet radio, FM Tuner)
* Asus Oi Media Player (for torrented movies and digital music, allows for connecting an external HDD)
* Marantz PM7001 Integrated Stereo Amp (currently unused)
* Onkyo DV-SP500 CD/DVD player (currently unused; most of my music is MP3/FLAC)
* Outlaw Audio M2200 Monoblocks x 2 for L/R (via pre-amp out on NR1605)
* B&W 303s for L/R, B&W LCR3 for center (15 year old puppies)
* Outlaw Audio OSB1 Soundbar (for movies; and when lazy to turn on the AVR)
Currently, in search of a simple DAC/player to hook up to my analog integrated amp. Preferably one that has BT and USB inputs.
Suggestions welcome and awaited.
