What integrated amp do you have? It depends on whether there are pre-outs or not.how to add a power amp to a integrated amp
It's a question regarding Rec out and Line out. Can we use Rec out from an integrated amplifier to send signal to another integrated amplifier or active speaker. Hope there will be no harm to the preamp sec of the other/second integrated amplifier or the active speaker. I have seen that REC out the signal is consistent with considerable volume. There must be a difference between Line out and Rec out, which is more safe for the kind of connection I am talking about.See if your current IA has Pre Out. Usually most IA’s have Line Level Out and hooking up a PA using Line Out is not a great idea. You will have no control over the volume unless you can find a PA which has Singe volume control for all channels or has a remote to control the volume easily.
Line out has a fixed voltage signal unaffected by the volume control.
Pre-out is normally a variable signal since it is intended to be connected to a power amp, in this case adjusting the volume control adjusts the output signal level as a power amp is traditionally fixed gain.
