Hi friends,
I have an old Onkyo SR-504 receiver connected to Yamaha NS7900 floor standers. I want to buy a Centre channel speaker. I was little DIY kind of guy and hence tried to use a chinese (F&D) 5.1 centre channel box by replacing it with some dainty speakers and tweeter for centre channel and surround speakers.

They never sounded good as I was (even now) ignorant of all that speaker parameters and cross-over circuits. Just bought some circuits from SP Road in Bangalore and soldered them.

To cut the story short.

Now I do not want to do any of that mistake again. I just want to buy a decent centre channel speaker which costs around 5K.

Before posting this here I searched around and found some links for

Wharfedale WH-2 CENTRE Speaker 5.9K/-
Sonus C2401 V3 (don't know the price)

Or something like
Yamaha NS-150 (which has both centre and surround) 7.9K/-

I just want to watch some blu-ray movies on my Panasonic V20 with decent 5.1.

I hope my question is not non-sense and someone might help me.

Thanks in advance.

Went for a demo of Yamaha and Polk audio. Did not like Yamaha.. Polk was nice but out of my budget. I will try pre-owned if I could get a good deal.

Thanks
