My system is composed of the following componets:

1)Marantz CD6002
2)Musical Fidelity A1 amplificer
3)B&W DM 602 S3 speakers biwirable
4)Van den Hul CS-122 hybrid speaker cable
5)Van den Hul The Name interconnect cable

The problem I have is that I note now the sound is no longer as sweet as before and the treble are bright and I dont like.
I would like to know which of the components should I change to improve the sound, but I think that perhaps is due to that the amplifier is old (I have bought 20 years ago).
But I love the Musical Fidelity and I thought to change the speakers and I have seen the Rogers LS4a/2 and
I think can be the perfect cure for that sound so bright and not-warm.

Thanks you for the help...

Hello and welcome to HifiVision!

You are referring to a sound that you had before.
What have you changed now that is new to the system?

The bright sound may not be due to the speakers.

Regards.

yes ..the usual suspect is amplifier as it is 20 years old...components inside amp are degarding...just get on loan amplifier from a friend and check....

It could be the amplifier but the Rogers are wonderful speakers with a superb mid range and will be very different (better) sounding than the B&Ws that you currently own ...

Yes room correction is more to be considered. Even trying different speaker cables may help.
