Hi, everyone. I am planning to build a bookshelf speaker. If there is a similar thread alreday started i’d like to appologise beforehand. But my query, requirement and budget may differ.
So my existing system Is
Amplifier - 1. Marantz sr5013
2. Pionner sa 706
3. Old philips amp.
so any three of these maybe used to drive the speaker.
Budget - 20k -25 k ( excluding the carpentry work)
My first query
1. Full range or 2 way system.
I prefer a softer sounding system with a soft thumping lows.
2.Will i require a seperate sub woofer if i use aFR system ( already owned a budget boston audio sub)
Willing to build a new sub.- seperate budget

You can go with either of these, though by time you add the cost of crossovers you may exceed your budget by a tad, all drivers are available here, audiofi are introducing locally made crossover components anytime now, not sure if they're any good though (the capacitors mainly)
Thanks alot. Recently toasted my crossover network in my elac floor stander. Trying to replace the bad xover parts. Thanks. (Side note)
