Help in Selecting New Home Theatre

Hi,

I am planning to buy a new home theatre.
My budget is 50-60K. My priorities are 50/50 for movies and music and room size is 10 X 16.

I am struck up with either to buy package like Onkyo 5400 or go for customized option with Denon 1312 AVR. I have not much idea on what speakers to select in case if i am going with customized option.

Guys please give me your opinion and suggestions.

With 50-60k budget, u have got lot of options which might be better than 5400.

AVR options - denon1312/1612, yamaha 371, onkyo309

Speaker options for 5.1 satellite package - polk audio, wharfedale, jamo, boston acoustics, paradigm, energy, etc

Take the dive, find good demo rooms and start auditioning, u will find the best that suits you

I have shortlisted Marantz 5006 and Jamo S426.
I am planning to buy Marantz through my friend in Saudi. I have not yet auditioned it. I have selected it based on my budget and features.

Will this AVR & speakers be a good combination?

Hi,

Anybody have auditioned the Onkyo 5500 model. Its yet to be available in India, but it is available in other countries.
