I recently purchased Onkyo nr414 receiver from US for HT purpose.I already have Yamaha floor standers and Norge 2060 for stereo listening. Now i am planning to use the yamaha floor standers for both HT setup with Onkyo nr414(as front speakers) and stereo setup with Norge 2060. Whether this setup is possible? If yes then how to do it?

Yes it can be done- what you need is a speaker selector box- which hooks up two pair of speaker- to one amplifier

But in your case it will be used in reverse--
The two amplifiers will be connected to the terminals going to the speakers
The one pair of speakers will be connected to the terminals going to the amplifier

Here is a link to a speaker selector box--
High Power 2 Way Stereo Speaker Switch - Speaker Selector Switch
You may be able to find one locally

simple method can be adopted..but dont know the effect on sound..

connct from avr and amp both...

switch on and use any one....keep other off..

theorratically there shd not be any problem

the current from one source might damage the other one since you are giving an alternate route for the current to pass resulting in unexpected behaviour. So would never recommend this.

yes...perfect...completly missed that..
thanks for rectifying me...

i edited my suggestion not to confuse and make any damage to equipment

sometime back one of the FMs had a A/B speaker selector switch on sale for around 3 -4 K INR. Might be worth if the that is still available.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
