In Nov10 I had bought Marantz SA 7001 from Bass & Treble New Delhi for 25 K. After a couple of month of purchase the system started showing problem with the open and close function. To be more concise .. as soon as I pressed the closed button after putting in a cd. The compartment would keep on opening with every command of closing from the remote. The sequence used to keep on for a long time before the display showed TOC reading.. I reported the problem to Mr. Denny who immediately picked up the system and after a fortnight returned it back with a guarantee that the problem had been taken care of.
But the problem was never rectified , I guess only a patch work was done. And the system has turned into a complete junk now. Everytime the system starts up. The closing / open cycle keeps going till God knows how long !! and when music is finally ready to be churned out. The system displays some command on its own.. like open all in the middle of playing.
Guys I dont have any other window to address this problem other than here and I feel I have been cheated with a defective piece which the owner of Bass & treble refuse to replace or leave alone fix it up.. the only option i was given was to buy a DAC convertor.....
