There are other options like the -

Warfedale 10.MX - 150watts - 28000/-
Polk Audio DSW PRO 550 - 400watts - 27000/- (seems good)
Polk Audio PSW 125 - 300watts - 18500/-

I am looking for a sub too. What are the sub models that allow high level speaker input, sealed box, and not sluggish or one note bass types?

the placement of the sub will bring you nothing but distortion.. and putting is that close to the bdp might create issues..

find a corner... for the sub..

Its a little complicated I'm afraid.

There is, however, one location you must avoid at all costs, unless you're more concerned with efficiency than accuracy. Each of the individual standing waves in a room can only be fully excited by a sound source located in a pressure antinode or maximum for that wave. And it so happens that in a rectangular room, the pressure amplitudes of all standing waves are maximized in the corners of the room. A subwoofer in the corner will be able to strongly excite every possible room mode. This blows away the myth that subwoofer placement is not critical and that it may be safely tucked away out of sight in a corner.

I don't think I or anyone will be able to intellectually estimate the correct location for the sub without doing the math about room modes as described there. I think some homework and calculations after reading a few technical articles will be needed.

Else best to play by ear and see what one likes.

Thats why iam planning the KEF, its depth is only about 8 inches and with the front firing drivers i thought there might not be much of placement issue, what say?

what you say .... i agree to it completely as i might not be able to estimate the placement of the sub without any info. however corner should be far better than placing it between the bdp and other equipments.. above the ground in a cabinet...

ears are always the best judge anyday..

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
