Your budget is modest ... and your likes are also good ... but one thing that most of the ppl do not mention here, is the kind of music that you intend to listen on the system.

Wharfedales are quite warm ... you can try out the diamond 9's ... but they are a bit bass shy .... btw do not limit your budget too hard .... you might find something worth dying for which can cost you ...say 28K INR. Diamond 9.6 are a good pair worth the listen.

NAD amps are pretty good but again out of your budget !!! try them anyways.

Well...in your budget, some good ones to consider would be - Marantz PM4001, CA 340A and may be the much acclaimed Norge - try the Norge Concerto Gold 1000, if you are looking for a lotta power!
