HFV - A unigender forum?

Guys - How come every single FM I have come across here is a male (or the M in FM means Male) ?? Are there rules that prevent the ladies from becoming a member??

There's got to be some women in this country that love REAL music. All the adv guys are chasing them, they are the biggest spenders, they bring in lots of eye balls too .. how come the designers of this Forum have kept them out? :lol:

The designers of this forum haven't kept anyone out.

The general population has very little exposure to good sound. Most of them don't even know or care about "good sound". You tell them Sony is the best sound they'll believe it, you tell them Onkyo is the best sound, they'll believe it. The Indian consumer is obsessed about brand.

You show them a sony with glossy drivers and pastic body beside a lyrita wooden harmony 1 with fostex, they'll pick the sony.

The only real female audiophile I've met in my life is my own mother herself. The menfolk in my family would all rather take sony. She on the other hand prefers a sealed 6.5" full range driver connected to a push pull tube amplifier. The menfolk in the family think she's crazy. Lucky for her I turned out to be an audiophile without trying to be

As for most other people who don't know what good sound is. I truly, truly feel bad for them. They will never know how..tactile..sensational...hair raising..good sound can be.

Core: thanks. But there is good female musical talent in the country so I assume there must be afficianados of good music. They def have money so must be something else. The market is prolly missing out on 30 - 40% of potential buyers. Don't they say that some women have a terrific "tonal" ear? Maybe they would create a demand for more low heavy devices.

My gf loved good music but i dont see her positing here or buying good quality equipment (not on my budget i hope)

Vishal men loves toys, girls not so much for machines.
Girls though I believe in general has better sound qualifying ears, and they are more practical in choosing things beyond brand but for practicality.

Interesting is a much simpler word.
Few members have the opinion that their wifies consider the equipment as 'competetion' since it takes away their time together.. God forbid!

From a high of around 45$ on debut the stock had recently collapsed to a low of around 25$. A giant sucking sound was heard as the money of hapless investors vanished into thin air

Yup! The big Z is being sued for dumping his shares on inside knowledge too. The whole thing seems set to peter out to a low price level considering valuations don't match earning prospect reality.
