Home theater connection to Dish TV Set top box

I have connected 2 RCA to 3.5 mm to set top box and home theater. But I don't hear sound. Please suggest a remedy.

Why did you not connect the HDMI from Set Top box to TV and have the AVR / HT to TV connection take back the audio from TV to AVR via the same connection using ARC?

Nevertheless, please make sure the 2 RCA to 3.5 is working fine if you connect one end to cell phone and other end to AVT /HT.

If you are not using any AVR - it’s a simple direct connection either through HDMI or RCA with your TV. The reason that with RCA you are not getting the audio could be - either try increasing the volume control - and ensure it is not in mute - try this on both your TV and Dish Remote ....if it doesn’t resolve - chexk settings audio out on the set top box - and finally just reboot the set top box - hope this helps
