So my uncle is moving into a new house, and wants me to help setup his HT.
THe hall is quite large, with a 20 foot high ceiling. Viewing area is around 1000 sqft. So I've summarised my questions below:

1) Get a screen + Projector, or a 64" plasma?

2) HT speakers - was looking at a B&W setup, along with a good BD player and a Kaiboer H1055 for local media playback. What do you guys suggest?

3) System integrator? Anyone know someone good at setting all this up in Mumbai?

If you are looking at the Samsung 64D8000, look elsewhere! That plasma has massive peeling issues.

A good projector like the Panasonic AE-PT4000 is always more flexible when paired with a decent screen like a dalite.

Wow, 20,000 cubic feet of space is massive. You will need some serious amplifications and speakers to fill that.

Would it be possible to have a HT in a dedicated room?

If lighting cannot be controlled, then having a projector may not be a good idea and you may pick up the Panasonic 64" if budget is not a big constraint.

if this is not a dedicated room , prefer u go for LCD/LED tv quiete difficult to block light,

projector - u can go for Optoma HD 67

It requires some serious amplification for such a large viewing area Techhead.....

Budget should be ~2L for the video and another 2L max for audio + amplification..

for audio the monitor audio silver series is good. there are other speakers as well - psb, paradigm, wharfedale etc. once you decide on the speakers we can help with an amp to match. brands youre looking at are marantz, denon, yamaha etc
