How Amazon, Flipkart and other online platforms use “Sales” to trick us into buying more while paying more

I add things to a wishlist and keep monitoring the prices. They generally go down couple of weeks before the sale and they are increased during "sales"!
The minimum purchase of 5000Rs before credit card discounts kick-n is a ploy to add unwanted items!
Amazon has introduced a 49Rs "processing fee" for cc discounts!

The majority of the unsuspecting public is not aware of these tactics being used to manipulate their behaviour. The sophistication of these techniques being used for profit is impressive.
It’s being used in commerce and to manipulate public perception and opinion in politics.

Speaking from personal bitter experience, Amazon India's reputation died over a year ago. Their overall business practices (extremely poor delivery schedules thanks to indifferent delivery agents who keep changing coupled with a backend "customer service" team who are smooth talkers and lousy liars who overpromise and underdeliver) has encouraged me not to renew my prime membership.Their "sales" are shoddy marketing gimmicks and a total ripoff. Never fall for these scams. Amazon India has gone down the toilet.

Most of the online/offline sales here are generally humbug. The prices are artificially escalated and then crossed & offered at discounted rates during sales. Maybe a few items are discounted, but they are usually the ones that you don't want.

The commercial equivalent of misinformation and disinformation online relating to everything else?

With no consequences for unethical and malpractices or enforcement of honest practices the human race is moving headlong into a state of constant confusion, mistrust, distrust and anarchy?

I have seen amazon increasing the price during sales. Amazon sale is a scam.
This is fraud and they getting away with it. How?

They imply but never use the word “discount” or “reduced MRP.

They do not reveal that the prices during their “sale” are actually higher than the rest of the year.

Merchants and companies that use their services profit so are silent collaborators.

I found this (from the US)

These things vary from product to product . I have purchased CD's for many years in the past during sales and they were available for low prices and heavy discounts . Logitech Keyboard , Mouse , Amazon Basics Keyboard , mouse , JBL speakers etc were also available for less prices . Generally I check online for original prices in various websites and then buy . Compare USD and EURO prices if applicable and they decide .

Recently I got WIIM products prior to sale in Amazon US . During the prime day sale they were available with 20% discount .

Same experience with Flipkart .

What these sales however do is that you might end up buying something which you may not actually use or require since they are available for low prices .

I have noticed that food products in some cases like some Chocolates are priced more than MRP and then a discount is offered . Stick to Amazon Fulfilled . Check company websites and Offline retailers like Vijay sales , Croma , Reliance etc before buying . See below links

This is sold directly by Sonodyne
