How good are class d amps

Guys i have 2 satellite speakers and one passive sub of my yamaha HT Lying idle and i dont use it. Now i want to attach this 2.1 setup to my other tv. But i dont want to spend much so wont get receiver. Now my real questions are here. What are cheapeat options of amp i have to make this system work? I dont want a great setup. Average system will do for me. Also i have heard of class d amps? Are they any good? TIA

Hi, Class D amps can be as good as any other amp. If you state your budget and specs on the speakers, it can be useful to recommend something.
