It is easy to get the idea that everyone on HFV is on a perpetual, expensive, upgrade path! Its nice to hear of people living with equipment for many years.

I have been living with KLH Model 5 speakers and Primaluna prologue one for several years and should be with me for the rest of my life. I had a Quad 33 and 303 for several years before Primaluna and they are with my brother and most probably will be with him for the rest of his life. BTW, we are identical twins

They are still there with me, i wish to build a nice cabinet for it and also connect a crossover ... i think it will sound good,
but no place to place them for listening, also having driving the AP speakers, i think i will dislike any other low grade speakers although it may sound good
Thinking to give away to someone who has patience to build.. they are at Hyderabad

The ATP3s have been my computer speakers since 2003, I think. I wouldn't think of changing them!
I've been with the PSB Image B6s for 2 and a half years now. I regularly listen to quite a few nice setups here, and then I come home and listen to these with a genuine sense of satisfaction and contentment. I'm happy enough with them to keep them till I can afford my (hopefully) endgame speakers and amp in another 3 years or so.
Before these, I used a pair of Audioengine A2s for about 8 months before I wanted more. Before the A2s I'd used a Panasonic AK18 (consumer grade 'HiFi') for about 10 years. A pair of DIY floorstanders and DIY amp (both made with a LOT of help from a much older friend who ran an electronics repair shop) kept me from my 11th standard till then (about 7 years).

Lol I just packed my 6 year old ATP3s to be given to a friend.
4 upgrades in 4.5 year and in preparation for 5th upgrade...
Could you share your past speaker upgrade details?

Usher be718 - 5 years and counting
Jamo e700 as secondary system - 4 years and counting.
Of late I believe in maxing out the performance possible from a speaker before replacing it.

Had it for a couple of years (2001-2003, IIRC) till the sub decided to call it a day. I couldn't find anyone who could repair it. I loved it more than the two midi-component systems I owned prior to that. I searched and searched to buy another one but it had been phased out by then.
My first stereo speakers were Canton LE 170 (FS). I had them for very short time till the upgrade bug bit me hard. The next one was a vintage Cadence ES speakers (FS again). I still have them. Current speakers are my DIY GR Research X-LS Encore bookshelves placed on real heavy stands (circa 75 kg per side).
